Rostock is located at the baltic coast in the north-east corner of Germany.
To come here from Scandinavia, you can use various ferries leading here (incl. Scandlines).
Rostock has a small airport (www.rostock-airport.de) with flights to Munich, Stuttgart and Cologne (www.germanwings.com).
For international visitors we recommend flying via Hamburg Airport. Flying via Berlin is possible, too.
Ryanair has flights to Lübeck (which is about 120km from Rostock).
Arriving at Hamburg airport it takes 25 minutes to transfer to the main station in the city center of Hamburg.
The easiest and fastest way from the airport to the central train station is by using the subway. Upon leaving the baggage reclaim area, follow the subway sign (S-Bahn, a green round logo). The subway leaves directly from inside the terminal and takes 25min to central station. Note, when travelling to the airport, take one of the first three wagons. The subway is part of the railway network, which means that train tickets can be directly booked from and to the airport.

For those travelling from Berlin, there is a comfortable ICE train going once a day between Rostock-Warnemünde (no change in Rostock) and Berlin. A full list of trains from and to Berlin are provided in the pdf files below.
Tickets can be purchased online (Deutsche Bahn) or at the station. Please state "Warnemuende Faehre Rostock" (not Rostock) as your destination. The venue is a ten minutes walk from the train station in Warnemünde. For guests of the Hotel Neptun a chauffeur service is available.
